5Androids conquer G.I. JOE  Jun 19, 2003
I am so pleased with these toys. I have all the B.A.T.s (Battle Android Troopers) made since 1986. It comes with 2 Inferno B.A.T.s and the 3 regular B.A.T.s and one squad leader Over-Kill. The B.A.T.s are one of my top ten favorite G.I. Joe figures. Fans of the cartoon know they were designed by Dr. Mindbender and are a staple of any Cobra army. These are great for filling out rank upon ranks of Cobra troops. The 5 B.A.T.s are made from the mold of the second version Hasbro made in 1991. The colors are way better than the version it was based on, and includes colors from the original 1986 B.A.T. They each come with their hand attachment and the laser gun attachment and a figure stand. The only thing missing from the 5 troops is the missile launcher/backpack that came with 1991 version. The only way these would be better is a backpack to hold the accessories, and four accessories like the original instead of two. Purchasing more than one six-pack is recommended.

5Bat builder answers dreams of collectors and kids  Jun 18, 2003 By The R Family
These are hopefully the first in a line of troop packs from Hasbro. In one inexpensive pack, you get 6 troops to battle you G.I.Joes, each with his own hand attachment (COOL!) and your leader with his own rifle. This set is great, and great priced, too! Support this pack so more of the same will come later!

5Dreams for a Despot  Oct 13, 2003
This is the ultimate figure package for those who wage little wars, in little rooms. The Cobra Battle Android Troopers have the appropriate faceless qualities that reflect their insignificant, automatous existances. Like everyone in the modern business world.

The package contains 6 figures, all repaints of early 90's figures. There are 3 Standard B.A.T.s, 2 Inferno B.A.T.s, and Overkill, the B.A.T. commander. The Standards and the Infernos are repaints of B.A.T. v2, with the Standards painted like the original B.A.T.s and the Infernos re-created from translucent red plastic. Overkill is more or less the same as his 90's incarnation, with a slightly different (ugly) paint job and his (ugly) electronic backpack has been removed.

It's great that the figures were even produced, but there were 2 small things that bothered me: The filecards and the elbow joints. The filecards were just reprints of the B.A.T.s and Overkill figures that came out last year. The only original one was the Inferno's, but it was still kind of rushed. The elbow joints of my figures also seems to either have been drilled wrong or had excess plastic in them. Basically, I can't fully straighten their elbows.

Overall, though, they are worth buying. Not like those lousy new figures, where they put the shoulder joints so far out that the women look like professional football players.

4A Great Answer For Your Army Building  Jun 29, 2003 By steve keeling
If you are into troop building then multiple sets of these are well worth the price tag. I own the Tiger Force and Python Patrol sets and this one is my favorite. A much better paint job then the early 90's version. I am VERY partial to the 86 version B.A.T and this new B.A.T looks great. I cringed at the photos of the see-through red Inferno B.A.T but was very impressed with it also. These look more like a robot than any B.A.T in the past. Trust me, you have to see these figures in person. Better than the photos show, even the funky colored Overkill. The only thing that keeps this set down is the weapon choice could have been better. Thumbs up for Hasbro. This is what we have been waiting for.
