Perfect for a Barbie Collector Mar 21, 2010

I bought this for my mom. She has been collecting Barbies for years. Being African American, when she grew up she didn't have an African American Barbie until she was past the age for dolls. She absolutelyy loves this doll since when it originally came out she wasn't able to own one.

Great reproduction of the original Nov 13, 2010
By Talvi This is a very faithful reproduction of the original doll. It's not a redo - the quality of the clothing, sculpt, even feel of the doll is very much as it would have been in 1980. She comes with a complete white leisure suit, hair pick and accessories, and memorabilia book and cards.
I was pleased with my purchase and did debox her. The only detraction for me was that her hair was a bit messy out of the box and not a clean afro. But I am going to assume that the original doll had the same type of hair.
I love it Apr 13, 2012

I have been waiting to buy this doll! I wrote my undergrad paper on race and dolls, and I've always loves Barbies. It came in perfect boxed condition, and I plan to keep it that way.
